Overview
The Department of Analytical Chemistry is one of the basic departments in the College and it teaches quantitative and qualitative analysis of the materials. Qualitative analysis is concerned with the analysis of materials to identify the elements involved in their composition and to apply this to pharmaceutical preparations. Quantitative analysis is an analysis of the material to determine its quantity using the appropriate methods and is therefore especially important in the evaluation of pharmaceutical preparations to legalize their conformity with pharmacopeia.
