Bachelor's degree:
Suez Canal University awards at the recommendation of the Faculty of Pharmacy:
- a Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, after successful completion of the approved study programme.( Traditional classroom system).
- a Bachelor degree in Clinical Pharmacy, after successful completion of the approved study programme.(Credit Hour system).
To obtain Pharmaceutical degree, student must:
- Is required to meet the requirements set by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU), taking into account that the student has a high school degree for the scientific section or its equivalent.
- Study 175 hours including specialized courses and courses in the basic pharmaceutical, medical, humanitarian and social sciences and some various sciences and courses as university requirements. It also includes optional courses.
- In addition, summer training of 300 hours in a pharmaceutical institution is required during the summer vacation preceding the final year of study. The Faculty Council will determine which pharmaceutical institutions the students may conduct their internships in. Students must notify the Faculty if they temporarily or permanently discontinue the internship period. Students are not granted the Bachelor’s degree of Pharmaceutical sciences unless they submit a document from the manager of the pharmaceutical establishment where they completed their internship. The Faculty Council will appoint faculty members responsible for accrediting this document from the manager of the pharmaceutical institution.
Obtaining a Bachelor's degree (Pharmacy DBS) requires the following:
- Those who apply for admission to the College are required to meet the requirements set by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) , taking into account that the student has a high school degree for the scientific section or its equivalent
- Study 180 credit hours distributed in ten semesters divided into:
- University requirements representing 6 credit hours
- Mandatory (compulsory) college requirements representing 174 credit hours
- Practical training of at least 300 hours of training (100 credit hours) under the supervision of a specialized faculty member in one of the pharmaceutical institutions approved by the Faculty Council in addition to (100 credit hours) clinical training in one of the educational hospitals.
